Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Contract

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in a fast-paced emergency department serving all ages and patient populations . This role is ideal for a confident ER nurse who is flexible with scheduling and thrives in a dynamic clinical environment.

Position Details:

• Job Type: Contract
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Number of Openings: 1
• Schedule: Day, Evening, and Night shifts available
• Position Urgency: Normal

Specialty:

• Nursing
• Sub-Specialty: Emergency Room Nurse

Department Overview:

• Emergency Department with 15 treatment beds plus a 6-bed fast-track unit
• Provides emergency care across all age groups and acuity levels

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform rapid triage, assessment, and prioritization of emergency patients
• Deliver high-quality nursing care in accordance with emergency nursing standards
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per provider orders
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Accurately document patient care using the electronic medical record system
• Maintain a safe, efficient, and patient-centered care environment

Required Qualifications:

• Active Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays as required
• Strong critical-thinking, communication, and multitasking skills

Certifications Required:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Additional Information:

• Holiday coverage may be required
• EMR system used: EPIC
