What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points

What the Candidate Will Do

  1. Build scalable analytical frameworks to support product analytics and experiments for Ubers New business Platform Uber AI Solutions
  2. Be the thought leader for the team, help navigate all the ambiguous problems and create simplified effective solutions
  3. Own new product experimentation including plan creation, roll-out, and monitoring
  4. Be an invaluable partner to cross-functional teams such as engineering, product management, various data teams to deploy data quality across critical pipelines and to set up processes to triage data issues
  5. Develop and track metrics and reporting functions to measure and monitor risk products on our platform
  6. Effectively and proactively communicate insights and drive projects to drive towards team goals
  7. Proactively seek out opportunities to build new solutions to tackle Risk and Identity challenges
  8. Create and drive data quality standards and frameworks to ensure inclusion into pipeline engineering efforts

Basic Qualifications

  1. 6+ years of experience (Bachelor) OR 5+ years of experience (Masters) in a data-focused role such as product analytics, business analytics, business operations, or data science
  2. Education in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Economics, Statistics or equivalent experience
  3. Experience in modern programming languages (Matlab, Python) or statistical languages (SQL, SAS, R)
  4. Past experience with a Product / Tech company serving millions of customers on multiple platforms and countries
  5. Working Knowledge of LLMs is a plus
  6. Working experience in AI companies is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. SQL mastery. Write efficient and complex code in SQL
  2. Experience in Python/R and experimentation, A/B testing, and statistical modelling
  3. Experience in Payments or Compliance with a Product / Tech company
  4. Proven ability to handle and visualise large datasets, explore and utilize raw data feeds
  5. Love of data you just go get the data you need and turn it into an insightful story.
  6. A well-organized, structured approach to problem-solving
  7. Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and entrepreneurial spirit
  8. Great communicator, problem-solver & confident in decision making
  9. Independent & autonomous, while still a strong teammate
  10. Enthusiastic, self-starting and thrives in changing, agile environments
  11. LLMs, prompt engg is a plus

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$169,000 per year USD$188,000 per year.

For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$169,000 per year USD$188,000 per year.
