Description JOB DESCPRIPTION: The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining methods, operation sequences, and processes for the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring efficient and productive layouts within plant facilities and optimizing manufacturing processes.
JOB DUTIES: \n - Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing methods, operation sequences, and processes.
\n - Analyzes existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunity to improve quality and efficiency.
\n - Supports resolution of technical problems and constraints to manufacturing products and processes.
\n - Design and arrange work cell layouts within plant facilities to ensure efficiency and productivity.
\n - Specify procedures and design sequences of operations for the fabrication of tools, equipment, and other production functions affecting product performance.
\n - Develops comprehensive work instructions, trains technicians, and validates comprehension.
\n - Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and recommend tooling and process requirements for new or existing product lines.
\n - Incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan as necessary.
\n - Review inspection results, investigate product deficiencies, and initiate corrective actions to ensure product quality.
\n - Provide guidance to engineering teams regarding design concepts and specification requirements to effectively utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
\n - Maintain records, technical documents, and reporting systems for coordinating manufacturing operations, including Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM).

Qualifications REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE: \n - Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline with at least 3 years' experience or Associate degree in engineering with at least 10 years' experience in similar role in manufacturing environment building electronic systems. Preferred background in manufacturing, process engineering, Aerospace, or military specifications. Candidate must be a US Citizen.
\n - Must be able to obtain Secret security clearance.
\n - Ability to read, interpret, and create assembly and component drawings, engineering specifications, and electrical schematics.
\n - Ability to use variety of precision measuring tools, including multi meters, electrical test equipment, micrometers, calipers, and other similar metrology devices.
\n - Good knowledge of manufacturing processes.
\n - Excellent organization skills and attention to details with the ability to perform multiple tasks and obtain timely results.
\n - Good oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management, both internal and external.
\n - Capacity to work independently from general supervision (must be self-motivated once given direction/guidance).
\n - Proficient in MS Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Ability to learn other business software application to support role.
\n - ISO 9000; ISO 9001; AS9100. Preferred background in military electronics technician support.
\n - Root cause analysis experience.
\n - Above average math skills with sound knowledge in statistics.
\n - Provide training and support to quality assurance team members, focusing on systems, policies, procedures, and core processes.
