Our 5-year-old daughter is a happy, social, and deeply empathetic child who loves animals, ballet, swimming, crafts, Mario Kart, reading, make-believe, and dressing up! She thrives with caregivers who are gentle, consistent, and emotionally attuned. She’s currently in kindergarten at a French-immersion school.
A bit about you: You are warm, honest, centered, and experienced in supporting the development of school-aged children. You are playful, organized, confident about helping with early academics, and can keep a structured but fun day. You are consistent with boundaries, use gentle communication, and enjoy being a role model. You are looking for a wonderful family to become a part of for the next few years, and you genuinely LOVE what you do! You don’t mind working when children are ill, and you are flexible to work 40 hours a week on the weeks when needed (as you will be paid for 40 hours even on weeks you work less hours).
Job Duties: Packing lunch and backpack for the day, morning routine/getting our child ready for school, school drop-off and pickup, ensuring safety and good hygiene, driving to extracurricular activities such as ballet, swimming, and playdates, daily outdoor time at the park/playground, imaginative play, providing a variety of age-appropriate activities that encourage her motor, cognitive and verbal development, reading, staying consistent with boundaries and explaining the reasons for boundaries, aligning with our preferred parenting, assisting with academics and homework help, bathing, changing clothes, light tidying after activities in child’s room and communal areas, encouraging our child to help clean up with you, caring for our child from 9a-6p on school holidays and sick days (last minute), preparing simple children’s meals, children’s laundry, and occasionally picking up dry cleaning or driving to the pediatrician when needed.

Qualifications : 3 years of childcare experience, flexible and reliable, willing to work when our child is ill, clean driving record, valid Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, comfortable driving children in personal vehicle, willing to work in a home with cats, basic swim ability, basic cooking skills, available long-term (3 years), fluent in English, CPR and First Aid Certified, willing to travel locally and internationally (with advance notice), willing to sign an NDA, and able to assist with elementary homework help (does not require that you read/speak French).
Set yourself apart : If you are bilingual (English and French or Spanish) and/or have previously traveled with a previous nanny family, those would be assets to our family!
Schedule: Monday-Friday (7:30a-8:30a) and (3-7p)
*Must be flexible to work up to 40 hours if needed, including working until 9:30p one night a week, and able to work a few hours on weekends 2-3 times a month. Pay: $26-$32 an hour **All applicants must first interview with a Jovie specialist. Qualifying applicants will meet the family prior to being hired.
