Database Manager


FedTec is seeking a skilled Database Manager who will will be the primary business-side leader responsible for managing all data migration activities from the Fund s legacy systems into the new Oracle environment.



Location : New York, NY

Job Type : Full time.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead all business-side data migration activities from legacy systems to Oracle-based COPS 2.0.
  • Coordinate with system integrators, Oracle developers, and internal IT teams to define data mapping, cleansing, and validation strategies.
  • Ensure data integrity and completeness throughout extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes.
  • Oversee data validation testing, business rule definition, and error resolution during migration cycles.
  • Manage documentation, knowledge transfer, and user training related to Oracle data workflows.
  • Enforce data governance, security, and confidentiality standards across all data operations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive data migration reports, dashboards, and risk logs for leadership review.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Oracle data structures, metadata management, and data lineage.
  • Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities to improve data accessibility and reporting post-migration.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated success in Oracle data migration or data managementprojects.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Database (12c/19c), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), or similar Oracle tools.
  • PMP certification required.
  • Proven experience leading complex data conversion and ETL initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data governance, and quality assurance frameworks.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and data validation scripting.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in public sector, financial, or pension administration environments preferred.
