Cook Children’s Health Care System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) SANE / Forensic for a nursing job in Fort Worth, Texas.

Summary:

Functions in collaborative process with CARE team staff to assess and implement the educational needs of the department. Provides education and resources for staff, patients and families and the community. Provides patient care as a Forensic Nurse Examiner. Skillfully and consistently performs daily clinical duties per established policy and procedure. Nurse will deliver care with a team-orientation, an emphasis on good customer relations, sound clinical judgment and appropriate decision-making abilities.

Shift: 3p - 3a

Education:
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical experience appropriate to clinical area (ICU and/or ED).
  • Prior teaching experience preferred.
  • BSN required.
  • MSN preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

  • Current permit or license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas
  • Must complete Pediatric Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) certification within 1 year of hire date.
  • Current BLS.
