We are seeking an EMTs – Emergency Medical Technician 7A +7P - $483/shift to join our team in Torrance, CA! You will assess injuries, administer emergency medical care, transport trauma 1 patients from the helipad to the ER and work in the ER as a Medical Assistant working with patient care and ER function duties.

Responsibilities:

• Transport injured or sick individuals to medical facilities
• Determine the nature and extent of illness or injury to establish first aid procedures
• Administer prescribed first-aid treatment at site of emergency, or in specially equipped vehicle
• Monitor communication equipment to maintain contact with dispatcher
• Communicate with medical personnel at emergency treatment facilities

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an EMT, paramedic, or in other related fields
• Knowledge of first and and CPR procedures
• Ability to stay calm in stressful situations
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to prioritize and multitask

 

Experienced EMT’s with clear California License

– 3 x 12 hour shifts per week – FT commitment – long term assignment

– both 7am and 7PM shifts for 24/7/365 coverage

- ambulance drivers license required

- DOT medical certificate

· Clear driver’s License to drive Ambulance and transport patient and team

· Work in acute Level 1 Trauma ER

· Assist with wound care, basic splinting of extremities

· Other tasks will be trained within scope of EMT License

· Keeping supplies fully stocked in ER and Ambulance

· Ability to work with a team to guarantee 24/7/365 coverage
