TRC Talent Solutions is hiring a Controller for a logistics company that is looking to grow!

The divisional controller is responsible for overseeing and managing general accounting functions, ensuring financial reporting accuracy, and maintaining compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements. This role plays a key part in the monthly close process, financial statement preparation, and coordination of internal and external audits. The Senior Accountant will also support business initiatives by providing financial analysis and insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• · Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• · Manage general ledger activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• · Assist in the month-end and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• · Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
• · Support budgeting and forecasting processes by collaborating with finance and business units.
• · Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting standards.
• · Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
• · Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices in accounting operations.
• · Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on accounting procedures.
• · Support special projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Accounting experience and leadership roles
